On the afternoon of September 19th, leaders of Thai Nguyen province worked with Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to prepare for the Third Tea Festival, Thai Nguyen – Viet Nam 2015.
Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Mr. Duong Ngoc Long, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee chaired the meeting. Ms. Ma Thi Nguyet, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Chief Organizer of the Tea Festival; leaders of departments of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also attended the meeting. At the working session, Mr. Duong Ngoc Long reported briefly the development of culture, sports and tourism in the province; the organization preparation for the Tea Festival, Thai Nguyen – Viet Nam to preserve and promote the values of tangible and intangible culture of Thai Nguyen tea, to gradually expand the cultural exchange and international integration, contributing to the development of the tea industry as well as the improvement of the tea products’ quality and value.
Accordingly, this Tea Festival will be held with the national scale and international factor, associated with the historic and cultural events of Thai Nguyen province, the cultural and political events of Viet Nam. At the same time, it’s necessary to well combine the activities of culture, tourism, arts and large scale festivals with the high degree of collectivism and the great attraction, fostering the socio-economic development.
It’s also important to strengthen the promotion of Thai Nguyen’s tea products, tea culture and Viet Nam’s as well, making a contribution to the raise of the position and image of both Thai Nguyen and Viet Nam. According to the plan, the Third Tea Festival, Thai Nguyen – Viet Nam with the theme “The Quintessence of Vietnamese Tea Culture” will be held in Thai Nguyen city and famous tea regions of the province from 26th to 28th November 2015.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Hoang Tuan Anh directed units of the ministry to assess and submit for the approval of the planning of ATK Dinh Hoa Special National Relic, Nui Coc Lake National Tourism Zone; invest in developing the infrastructure of ecotourism and historical tourism, implement the construction of Thai Nguyen Sport Complex.
Regarding the Tea Festival, Minister requested the agencies, departments, general departments to help Thai Nguyen province promote activities of the Festival on the official website of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism; to guide the domestic travel agencies to link tourist routes to Thai Nguyen, especially during the Tea Festival; to coordinate in assessing the art programs. The Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups was directed to support the location, facilities and manpower in order to effectively organize the activities of the Tea Festival including the Tea Cultural Festival and Photography Exhibition; to combine the Asean countries’ Textile Exhibition with those activities.
