Leader of Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee welcomes and works with the enterprise delegation of Gyeongsangbuk province, Korea.

On September 17th, the delegation including 12 enterprises and 2 provincial staffs of Gyeongsangbuk province, Korea led by Mr. Kim Gun Woo, Director of Gyeongsangbuk Economic Promotion Agency paid a working visit to Thai Nguyen province.  

Attending the working session were Mr. Duong Ngoc Long, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and leaders of several departments, branches of the province. At the working session, Mr. Duong Ngoc Long expressed his delight to welcome the enterprise delegation of Gyeongsangbuk province, Korea to Thai Nguyen province. He also highly appreciated the traditional cooperative and friendly relationship between the two provinces of Thai Nguyen and Gyeongsangbuk in particular as well as the two countries of Vietnam and Korea in general. Over the years, along with the foreign direct investment enterprises, many Korean investors have invested in Thai Nguyen including the focus of Samsung CE Complex Project - phase 2. Hence, Thai Nguyen has risen to be a top province with over 3.2 billion US dollars in attracting the foreign direct investment (FDI) in Vietnam in 2014.

 

On this occasion, the chairman gave the members of the delegation brief information about the province’s socio-economic development, investment attraction mechanisms, policies and priority areas for investment in the next time. On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Kim Gun Woo thanked the chairman and leaders of departments, agencies and branches of Thai Nguyen province for welcoming the delegation. In the upcoming time, Mr. Kim Gun Woo expected that the cooperative and friendly relationship between Vietnam and Korea in general, Gyeongsangbuk and Thai Nguyen provinces in particular would be closer and raised to a new height in order to improve the investment environment. Also in the framework of the working session, representatives of 12 Gyeongsangbuk enterprises and some typical ones of Thai Nguyen province exchanged information with a view to search for investment cooperation opportunities.
