On the afternoon of August 29th, Mr. Duong Ngoc Long, Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee met with Mr. C.K. Sun, General Director of T.A.L. and other delegates. T.A.L. is a Hong Kong garments and textile business.
Mr. C.K. Sun said Thai Nguyen was one of five provinces that T.A.L. considered investing in during this business trip to Viet Nam. After working in Pho Yen District on the morning of the same day, the delegation found that Thai Nguyen was a suitable province for the company’s upcoming investment. What Mr. C.K. Sun was most interested in was the permission for the company to discharge wastewater into the environment when its factory went into operation, for its wastewater is estimated to reach approximately 10.000 cubic meters a day. Mr. C.K. Sun stated the wastewater of the factory was treated with modern technology, meeting the standards of Viet Nam.
The Chairman welcomed the Hong Kong T.A.L.’s investment plan into Thai Nguyen. He added the province will license wastewater release if the company meets the current environmental protection requirements of Viet Nam; the province will also create its mechanisms, reasonable special preferential treatment for the company if it builds its factory in the industrial zones and complexes of the province; the province will direct its branches and localities to create the most favorable conditions so that the company can complete the investment procedures quickly.
Reportedly, T.A.L. set up a large garments and textile factory in Thai Binh Province almost 10 years ago which is now operating efficiently.
