Provincial People’s Committee: Working with Japanese enterprise

On the March 8th morning, the provincial People’s Committee had a working session with Mr. Fumihiro Hashimoto, Chairman of AGRITEC Co., Ltd, Japan. Receiving and working with the enterprise are Mr. Dang Viet Thuan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; representatives of Departments: Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Planning – Investment, Department of Foreign Affairs.

At the working session, Mr. Fumihiro Hashimoto expressed his expectation to invest their safe vegetable production project in Thai Nguyen. He stated that he surveyed several provinces which are potential in this field, but he saw that Thai Nguyen has many more potentials because it currently has 10,000 ha for planting vegetable in which 2,000 ha of land specializes in the growing of vegetable. He also gave a brief introduction about their plans in realizing this project and committed that if they invest in Thai Nguyen, they will try their utmost to produce safe vegetable with high quality, steady price, meeting the demand of consumers, and creating permanent jobs, and raising the income of local people.

Also at this working session, Chairman of AGRITEC Co., Ltd expressed his wish to cooperate, bring people with medical qualifications to work in Japan.

Mr. Dang Viet Thuan welcomed the Japanese side who came to study and expected to invest in Thai Nguyen. He believed that with the effort of the Japanese side, and assistance provided by the province, the Project will gain success definitely because this is also a pressing desire of Thai Nguyen. Accordingly, he brought out some cooperation forms for the enterprise to choose like: The Japanese side can build up a factory, supply seeds, caring process and sign the contract for raw product purchase for processing or transfer of technology, techniques, and so on.  Especially about the labor export, he also asked the enterprise to carefully study because it is difficult to teach Japanese language to people who want to work abroad…

It is expected that the working program promoting the Japanese side comes to sign the investment commitment in Thai Nguyen will be continued to hold at the end of March.
