Chien Cong Minerals & Industry JSC: Project on mineral exploration and exploitation in Laos to come into an operation

A project on exploring and exploiting tin, lead, zinc and other minerals in Laos within area of 300km2 by Chien Cong Minerals & Industry JSC comes into an operation in Noonghet District, Xiengkhuang Province and Cuon District area, Huaphan Province (Lao PDR) on December 28, 2012.

Thanks to attention and support from the Government as well as ministries and branches of Vietnam and Laos, also negotiations of two sides, a contract between Lao PDR Government and Chien Cong Minerals & Industry JSC (under Chien Cong Industry and Transportation Cooperative) was officially signed last August.

As per the contract, Chien Cong Minerals & Industry JSC is to implement project on exploring and exploiting tin, lead, zinc and other minerals within area of 300km² in Xiengkhuang and Huaphan. The project aims at exploring and searching then constructing one processing plant in both provinces with products for development of Laos and export to some countries.     

When the project becomes successful, it will make a great contribution to social economics as well as boost solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Vietnamese and Lao Parties, States and peoples. Accordingly, more cooperation and investment opportunities among enterprises from the two countries in general and between Thai Nguyen (Vietnam) and Xieng Khuang/Huaphan (Laos) in particular will open up….
