Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee welcomed and worked with the delegation of the Embassy of Korea in Vietnam

In the afternoon of 10 January, at the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Duong Ngoc Long, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee welcomed and worked with Mr. Oh Nak Young, Vice Ambassador of the Embassy of Korea in Vietnam and the members (photography). Participating in the working session, there were some relevant departments and sectors of the province.

Opening the working session, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee expressed the gladness as welcoming and working with Vice Ambassador and the members and introduced preliminarily to the delegation about the potential and strength of the province.

Mr. Oh Nak Young thanked Mr. Duong Ngoc Long for spending time to welcome and work with the Delegation. In the working session, the issue attracted the attention of the Vice Ambassador was wastewater treatment in urban areas in the province, especially new urban areas. In which, he paid special attention to the Project for Yen Binh urban, industrial, agricultural and services complex. The Vice Ambassador also promised to introduce to this Project an unit with deeply professional qualifications in wastewater treatment because there has been no unit registering to participate in above field. The unit to be introduced was a business with experience, prestige and being implementing some similar projects in Vietnam.

The members in the delegation, also being businessmen and investors, expressed the care to the investment fields such as: garment, machinery accessories, hydropower, industrial and agricultural production, and rural development; they also paid attention to the planning, management of urban areas… of the province. The members in the delegations promised to introduce to the province the consulting, design units of Korea with professional qualifications, experience and prestige in the fields stated above.

Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee thanked for information as well as issues cared by the Vice Ambassador, especially the intentions, cooperation directions in the next time. He also kindly requested the Embassy of Korea to further support the province in approaching the modern management experience as well as advanced industrial and agricultural processing technologies; introduce Korea businesses and other reliable partners to care about, study and invest into the province under two forms: direct investment and joint venture. He hoped that Korea would further introduce and provide ODA capital resource to Thai Nguyen, and help the province construct the performance models in agricultural production. Thai Nguyen province committed to exert itself to coordinate with Korean investors in implementing the projects on the basis that the locality would support through investment incentive policies, settlement of administrative procedures, land acquisition, creation of clean land fund and guarantee of sufficient supply of power, water, infrastructure, transport, telecommunications and security for projects invested in the province…
