Many prospects for Cooperation between Thai Nguyen Province and Belgium to be opened up.

At the working session with Belgian Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Bruno Angele (on the morning of 5 June), Mr. Duong Ngoc Long, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee insisted that on the basis of long-term cooperation between Vietnam and Belgium, available potentialities and strengths on geographic location, mineral exploitation – metallurgy; health – education; historical tourism and policies and orientations on long-term local development, etc will open up many prospects for cooperation between Thai Nguyen Province and Belgium .  

Mr. Bruno Angele showed his pleasure in seeing current positive changes in economy and society of Vietnam and Thai Nguyen province as well. At this working session, he was especially interested in the fields of mineral exploitation – metallurgy, people’s health care, education – training and environmental protection. Mr. Bruno Angele affirmed that Belgium is ready to invest in Vietnam in general and Thai Nguyen province in particular in many areas basing on the foundation of nearly 40 years of diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Belgium so far.

During this trip, Mr. Bruno Angele has directly inspected wastewater and sewage treatment projects currently performed in Thai Nguyen Province by two Belgian companies namely Sodraep and Mesnart. Also, he visited Nui Coc ecotourism for good advices to Belgian Government and economic groups who want to invest in Thai Nguyen in the most effective way.
