Workshop of ability enhancement in teaching English

On May 12th, at the Learning Resource Center (Thai Nguyen University), Thai Nguyen University cooperated with the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi and the National Foreign Language Scheme 2020 to organize the International Workshop: "Enhancing English teaching ability through researching actions and innovation of practices".

Attending the Workshop were representatives from the U.S. Department of State , the U.S Embassy, University of Languages and International Studies (VNU), Department of Education and Training, Thai Nguyen University, etc.

There were 12 scientific reports of leading experts and English faculty members in, content was about methods of researching actions in order to apply to teach; raise the confidence of students when speaking English; reinforce reading skill through available resources; apply learning methods through projects of the English Faculty(Thai Nguyen University), etc.

Through the workshop, English experts of U.S. Department of State , former students who learnt English methodology in U.S, English faculty of Thai Nguyen University shared experiences in teaching English towards a comprehensive renovation as proposed by the scheme of National Foreign Language in 2020. The workshop is also an activity of impulsing exchange programs of U.S government to new members, an opportunity to strengthen relationships of education development cooperation between the U.S. Embassy in Viet Nam and Thai Nguyen University, thereby enabling English faculty and students of Thai Nguyen University as well as teachers, students in schools under the Thai Nguyen Education and Training Department to have opportunity to improve teaching and learning ability in English.
