Construction cooperation for the waste treatment project

On the morning of March 12th, Comrade Nhu Van Tam, Member of the Standing Committee of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, Vice-chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and representatives of relevant departments welcomed the delegation of the Kingdom of Belgium led by Ms. Bérengère Menart, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce Belgium-Viet Nam, Export Director of Menart Company.

It is known that Menart Company specializes in waste treatment field, especially organic wastes. During the visit, the company expressed a desire to help Thai Nguyen City construct a project on waste and environment management issues with ODA capital funded by the Government of Kingdom of Belgium.

At the meeting, Comrade Nhu Van Tam confirmed that Thai Nguyen had high economic growth rate, so the waste treatment was paid more attention by leaders of the province and city particularly. At present, there is a waste treatment area in the city; however it has not met all requirements in this field. Leaderships of Thai Nguyen City People's Committee expressed their wish of receiving ODA capital from Belgian Government to build waste and environment treatment project.

At the end of the meeting, the memorandum of understanding for building the waste treatment project in Thai Nguyen City was signed between the leader of Thai Nguyen City and the representative of Menart Company.
