Teahouses Attract Visitors

Tea festival has not officially opened but Nui Coc Lake tourism area, where activities of the Festival will take place, has welcomed the first visitors to the important cultural events.

The purpose of the festival is to introduce and promote tea products in Viet Nam in general and Thai Nguyen tea in particular, 30 teahouses have been set up to serve the demand for enjoyment and supply of delicious tea products for visitors.

For more than a week, many visitors can drop in the teahouses to sip tea in the tour before joining the exciting activities happening in the festival. In teahouses, customers always receive the warm welcome of the owner. Not only enjoying free tea, tourists can hear, see information on events, locations in the festival, and see the map of the provincial tourist guide. In particular, for those who care, like tea, the owner is willing to share the tea manufacturing process.

Just offering tea to the guests, Tran Thi Hao, the teahouse owner of Hao Dung (Cao Trang, Xuan Phuc) excitedly said: "For more than a week, each day has at least four to five delegations from everywhere to enjoy tea at my teahouse. In particular, the closer the opening day of the festival, the more increasing number of tourists. Many people have bought tea as a gift . 2 tea pearches Phuc Van Tien and TRI 777 with yield of 60 kg of dried tea/farrow of my family along with tea products of my neighbors is ready to meet the demand of customers. "In some other teahouses, we also occasionally have some delegations to drop in to enjoy tea. When leaving, they all expressed satisfaction with the tea as a gift package.

We crossed into Thang Hao teahouse (Phuc Tien village, Phuc Triu commune) where some guests were sipping tea around the bamboo table. Just sip of tea, we feel the sweet, light acrid spread the throat, we felt delighted, Mr. Ngo Xuan Binh, a visitor from Loc Tho ward, Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa) said: "To Thai Nguyen this time, we not only have the opportunity to meet friends, but also enjoy tea tea on the tea land. In particular, I was impressed with the teahouse. One of the teahouse that we notice is the old war zone teahouses ATK (Dinh Hoa). The teahouse is designed according to the house on stilts, with palm thatched roofs, hanging memorial pictures of Uncle Ho (De mountain pass, Phu Dinh), with Tay cone, Sli singing, and the echo sound of Tinh. Here, for the first time, we drank scented tea with cake “bong”, a new pleasure way of enjoying tea. Mr. Tran Van Quyen, head of teahouse was proud to say: "Come to the festival this time, we also bring about the features of the ATK such as singing sli, gliding, the traditional cake (cake of Nang, lam, bong, cereal ...) for tourists to enjoy with tea. " Indeed, it is wonderful sitting on the house on stilts, listening to sli song, in the sound of Tinh music, enjoying tea with specialties of the mountainous areas. Next to it are teahouses such as Phu Luong, Vo Nhai, Phu Binh ... each shop has its own particular, specific characteristics to each locality. This place is like a "tea street" with full colors. The "Tea street" is formed at the junction area of Cao Trang village (Xuan Phuc commune) just a few hundred meters away from the main stage.

Away from the "tea street", we travelled through Tan Cuong. It is easy to see that in the two sides of the road, there appeared more tea house besides the teahouse which had opened since Nov, 1st. For futher understand, it is known that, to respond to Festival on Nov 7th, the Project of manufacturing, processing, consuming  safe tea made by the provincial Farmers' Association to cooperate with the Netherlands (Agriterra Project) held the opening of four teahouses in  Xuan Phuc communes ready to serve tourists, introdue and promote safe tea products.

Certainly, visitors to come to Thai Nguyen will have memorable, unforgettable experience.
