Opening the Final of contest "Miss Tea-land"

In the evening of Nov, 11th, at the provincial Culture and Information Centre, the Steering Committee of first International Tea Festival - Thai Nguyen, Vietnam 2011 hosted the opening of Final round of the beauty contest "Miss Tea-land".

Attendants included Mr. Pham Xuan Duong, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of provincial committee, Head of Delegation of the National Assembly, officials in the Provincial Standing Committee, leaders of Arts Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), leaders of departments and agencies of the province ...

The contest "Miss Tea-land" is one of six main activities of the Tea Festival. The Steering Committee has received 150 registration dossiers of candidates from 17 provinces and cities. Through the preliminary round, the Steering Committee has selected 122 candidates to attend the final round held from Oct 31th to 2nd Nov. Through different rounds of contest: the costume choice, anthropometric examination, gifts, knowledge about tea culture and other social knowledge, 55 excellent candidates were chosen to enter the final.

 After the final round, the beautiful woman have participated in many activities: outdoors swimsuit performance; interaction with artists who make tea in Hong Thai village 2, Tan Cuong commune (Thai Nguyen); competition for making tea, offering tea at Hoang Binh Tea Factory, Tan Cuong commune... This contest is aimed to select the best candidates for giving awards such as: The beauty with the most beautiful body, the most photogenic Beauty; the Beauty understanding most about tea and tea culture.

In the finals, the candidates continue to play their parts: Ao dai costume, swimsuit costume, evening gown performance.

At the opening ceremony of the finals, Mrs. Ma Thi Nguyet, Member of provincial Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of The Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Steering Committee recognized the contributions and support of other agencies or units, schools in the area for the Contest, also encouraged and wished the candidates to be calm and confident to participate in the contest for high results…

The finals of competition will continue to take place in the evening of Nov, 13th, at the provincial information and cultural Center.
