More than ten thousand of billion VND to construct An Khanh Thermal Power Plant II

According to the agreement of the Prime Minister, Ministry of Industry and Trade, in the morning of 14th October, in Pho Yen district, the People’s Committee issued the Investment License of An Khanh Thermal Power Plant II to An Khanh Electricity Joint Stock Company.

Participants: Comrade Nguyen Van Kim, Standing Deputy Committee Secretary of Provincial Party; Comrade Duong Ngoc Long, Deputy Committee Secretary of Provincial Party, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of Provincial Party; the leaderships of the relevant departments, etc.

 

An Khanh Thermal Power Plant II with the capacity of 300 MW will be constructed in Tan Phu commune (Pho Yen) on the area of 50 ha, its total value of investment is more than ten thousand of billion VND. The plan will be implemented from 2012, and expected to synchronyze with the National grid and generate the commercial electricity in 2016. This plan will create job for 1,500 employees, synchronyze with the National grid about more than two billion Kwh per year, contribute about 500 billion VND to the National budget per year, etc.

 

This is the second Thermal Power Plan after An Khanh Thermal Power Plant I with the capacity of 100 MW has been constructed in An Khanh commune (Dai Tu). Up to now, An Khanh Thermal Power Plant I has been constructed urgently by An Khanh Electricity Joint Stock Company and it is expected that by the quarter III of 2012, the set of machinery no. 1 can generate electricity.

 

Speaking at the Ceremony, comrade Duong Ngoc Long affirmed that An Khanh Thermal Power Plant I and II are the big plans which contribute considerably to the promotion process of the national industrialization – modernization, make Thai Nguyen become the industrial province before 2020.
