Press Conference for Miss Tea-land

Aug 4th in Hanoi, Thai Nguyen People's Committee held a press conference to introduce the Beauty Contest themed “Miss Tea-land” -International Tea Festival - Thai Nguyen 2011.      

Attending were: representatives of the Central Propaganda Committee, Ministry of Information - Communications, Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism, leaders of homeland departments and branches; members of the Advisory Council, representatives of 44 central press, Hanoi press, and Ho Chi Minh press. The conference was hosted by Mrs. Ma Thi Nguyet, member of Standing Committee, Vice Chairman, Head of the Contest.

Miss Tea-land Contest is one of six activities of the International Tea Festival this November. The contest with the participation of competitors from 33 tea-growing provinces, cities nationwide as a part of the first International Tea Festival. Contest includes: Ao Dai, swimwear, quizzes on the undertanding about tea and tea culture, and talents. Registration from Aug 1^st to Sep 15^th at Thai Nguyen Provincial Youth Propaganda and Education. The first price "Miss Tea-land" and 10 other prices such as the Best Tea Maker, Fastest Tea Picker, Understanding of Tea culture and so on will be awarded.

The representatives Organizer answered questions about the contest, the support for condidates outside Thai Nguyen, support in costumes and where contest take place. Finally, Mrs. Nguyet very expected the Press to talk much about the Contest and the Festival in oder to introduce the Province and its people, the tea culture of Thai Nguyen as well as Vietnam.
