La Bang Tea Welcomes the Festival

Dai Tu District, in the preparation for International Tea Festival - Thai Nguyen 2011, has beeen specially focusing on tourist destination improvement for La Bang tea village.

Besides building the gardens by ancient method, the district government is also leading and guiding the famers here to plant, care and embellish tea terraced-fields for Festival with over 100ha total area.

 

Specifically, tea is in business, the farmers weed, clean, lot split (each lot area from 0.5-1ha, width: 20-100 lines, 50-200m in length, 3-4m wide road), make paths for care, fertilizers transport and the visitors. The tea that picked in July is flatted slightly the canopy coverage.

 

In particular, the tea fields in Festival activities and visit areas must be adjusted hervest period from June in oder to have the next one in September (from 27th-30th). After the harvest 5-7 days, the famers spray fertilizers over the leaves to enhance the growth of tea leaves to harvest period coincides with the Festival (11th-15th November) for visitors. For the ​​basic tea field (grown from 2009 to 2010), the farmers need to weed, legume intercrop between rows of tea to kill grass as well as need to clean hoeing weeds whole area by August and September.
