An Khanh Electricity Joint Stock Company: Investment cooperation with Indonesia

Recently, in Jakarta (the capital of Indonesia), An Khanh Electricity Joint Stock Company has signed the Investment cooperation agreement with two companies: PT. Bangun Energy and Perusahaan Daerah Kelistrikan Dan Sumber Daya Energi Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara of Indonesia to establish Joint Venture Company of Coal and Minerals Exploitation from two coal mines. These coal mines have the coal reserves of 89 million tons of coal and 48 million tons of coal in East Kalimantan Province- Indonesia, and export to Vietnam in order to ensure material resources to construct An Khanh Thermal Power Plant no. 2 in Pho Yen district - Thai Nguyen with the capacity of 300 MW.

 The parties signed the Investment cooperation agreement with the witness of local government of Indonesia, Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and leaders of People’s committee of Thai Nguyen province (photo).

 

 Accordingly, the Joint Venture Company shall be established with the charter capital of USD 20 million. It is expected that Vietnamese party shall hold from 70% to 80% of the charter capital. In September 2010, Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment shall granted Investment certificate to foreign country for An Khanh Electricity JSC. The contract signing ceremony is expected to be held in Vietnam in September 2010.

 

This is a great effort of An Khanh Electricity JSC in the expansion of overseas investment cooperation, for transporting materials to develop energy sources in Vietnam to serve the industrialization and modernization of the country, and contributing to stabilize the Nation's energy security.
