The first courses opening ceremony of the project "A pilot project to improve the use of computer and accessing public Internet in Vietnam"

Yesterday morning (20/7), at the Centre of Resources - Thai Nguyen University the Project management had an opening ceremony and had carried out the first course for officers, and employers of some experimental places, for example, post offices, public libraries, schools, hospitals ... in Thai Nguyen.

The project "A pilot project to improve the use of computer and accessing  public Internet in Vietnam" by Bill&Melinda Gates Foundation (BMG Fund) an America non-governmental organization with an unrepay aid, and humanity. This project is carried out in 3 provinces Thai Nguyen, Nghe An and Tra Vinh. It is assigned to Ministry of Information and Communication by Vietnamese Government with 2.149.100 USD total capital. The project's deployment will shorten the unequal between areas; improve people's standard of living in the country, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, universalize the use of computer and Internet to people.

With these advantages and potentialities, Thai Nguyen has became an experimental place to deploy the project. Thus, the Project management can have experience for other provinces. Learners were taught about basic skills about computers, Internet ... by professors in Faculty of Informatics and Communication for 5 days at Centre of Resources. After that they can impart the knowledge for other people.
