In the morning of 9th January, Thai Nguyen Service of Construction, Song Cong People’s town Committee and the Support Board “Component environmentally sustainable development in poor urban areas” (SDU) of Denmark organized the inaugurating ceremony, handed over and used the work '' improving environmental conditions in the 4 floor worker residential in Mo Che ward, Song Cong town".
The work is in the project “ A sample for Component environmentally sustainable development in poor urban areas”. This project is of Vietnamese – Denish development cooperation program in the field of enviroment surrounding in the stage of 2005 – 2010 by Denish government’s sponsor.
The work with the total capital of 6.887 billion VND is invested by the Service of Construction and executed by join stock company of Thai Nguyen housing urban Construction and Development. Of these capital, the supporting one of the Constituent SDU is 5.281 billion VND, the local budget and contribution money from the people is 1.606 billion VND. The articles include: building 2 public toilets, a sewage system, a system of yard, path, parterre, and grass cover; improving and repairing
The four floor collective quarter for workers in Mo Che group built from 1975 has been extremely downgraded, which has great influence on the inhabitants’ life. Therefore, deploying the project “Component environmentally sustainable development in poor urban areas” helps the poor families living in this quarter to improve their living conditions and to come in for environmental hygiene services. This will be a good model to apply and expand in transforming the collective apartments, residential quarters which have been downgraded in the locality.
