Thai Nguyen Office of Contruct, Song Cong People’s Committee and a Multi-Field Aid Committee from Denmark “Strong development of environment among poor urban areas” (SDU) have just hold the opening ceremony of the project “ Living condition reconstruction of the four storey building for workers” in Mo Che Ward, Song Cong Town.
Mr. Dang Viet Thuan, the vice- chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee attended the ceremony.
The program “Strong development of environment among poor urban areas” belongs to VietNam- Denmark cooperative developing program in the field of urbans’ environment in the period of 2005-2010 aided by Denmark’s Government.
The four-storey tenement house in Mo Che Ward was builded in 1975. At the present, it it is seriously spoiled. The construction of this project will improve living conditions for poor people here and provide environment cleaning services. The project is chiefly invested by Thai Nguyen Office of Construct and progressed by Thai Nguyen Joint Stock Company of Urban Construction and House Development with the total investement of 6.887 billion VietNamese Dong in which 5.281 billion Dong comes from SDU and 1.606 billion Dong from Committee and contribution of the community. They will carry out constructing two public toilets, rebuilding dirty water gathering and solving systems, and plain system, building yards, streets, flower beds and grass areas, and reconstructing building 7. The project will be finished for the next 6 months.
At the meeting, Mr. Dang Viet Thuan emphasized that: “ Since this is the project that helps improve living conditions for poor workers, the progressing unit must ensure a good quality and working safety, and put the construction into reality soon”.
