Deputy PM Trong inspecting implementation of Resolution 37 in Dinh Hoa

Accompanying Trong were Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung, Member of the CPV Central Committee, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Tay Bac Steering Committee and leaders from related ministries as well as Thai Nguyen authorities.

Firstly, the delegation offered incenses in memorizing President Ho Chi Minh at Ho Chi Minh''s Memorial House in Deo De hamlet of Phu Dinh commune (Dinh Hoa district).
The Party Political Bureau promulgated Resolution No. 37/NQ-TW of July 1, 2004 on orientations for socio-economic development and assurance of national defense and security in northern midland and mountainous areas till 2010. To implement the resolution, Dinh Hoa district has built up 15 projects on economic structure transformation, political and social secutity.
After 3-year implementation of Resolution 37, the district has achieved some positive results: service industry density reached 32.2% in 2007 whereas agriculture density decreased; the annual average growth rate is more than 12%; the average income is 5.4 million VND/ person/year and will be 8.5 million VND/person/year in 2010 as estimated; some products such as tea, paper and rice have been exported…
However, there are still some limitations such as the unstable economic growth, the slow economic structure transformation… because of the low starting point of the district''s economy and lacks of support for projects.
During a working session with Mr. Trong, Dinh Hoa authorities urged to receive more attention of the government in such projects as irrigation construction, road upgrade, etc.
Trong highly appreciated the achievements of Dinh Hoa authorities and people. Besides, he asked them to pay more attention to building up the party and local administration as well as mobilizing all resources for development, especially maximizing the local advantages to transform economic structure. He also showed his interest in the district''s proposals and asked the related ministries to care for.
On November 21st 2007, the delegation had a working session with Thai Nguyen provincial authorities on the implementation of Resolution 37 in Thai Nguyen province.
