On October 4th 2007, Vietnam Commission for Population, Family and Children (VCPFC) held a ceremony to grant scholarships and wheelchairs of Vietnam Children Protection Fund and Vietnam Trade and Industry Bank for poor children and children with disabilities.
In the ceremony, 30 scholarships (500,000 VND/person) were granted to 11 children of martyrs and wounded soldiers, 19 poor and studious children; 50 wheelchairs were delivered to children with disabilities.
In 2007, Vietnam Trade and Industry Bank has provided 600 wheelchairs and 600 scholarships for disadvantaged children in northern provinces of Vietnam (from Hue province to the North).
The gifts are modest but express the sympathy of the community with disadvantaged children, contributing to help Thai Nguyen reach the object of 70% children cared for.
